By accessing this website or submitting information to the National Laureate Programme, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site and official submission channels.
2. About the Programme
The National Laureate Programme is a federal initiative to identify, reward and elevate outstanding research and innovation from accredited Nigerian tertiary institutions. Programme rules, prize categories, timelines and eligibility criteria are published separately and may be updated each cycle.
3. Website use
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts or data
- Upload malicious code, spam or misleading content
- Misrepresent your identity, institution or affiliation
- Copy, scrape or republish Programme materials without permission
- Interfere with the proper functioning or security of the platform
4. Submissions and nominations
All nominations must be submitted through authorised institutional channels within published deadlines. By submitting work, nominating institutions and researchers confirm that the material is original, accurately described, free of plagiarism, ethically conducted, and that all co-authors and rights holders have been appropriately acknowledged.
False, incomplete or fraudulent submissions may result in disqualification and referral to the appropriate academic or legal authorities.
5. Intellectual property
Researchers retain ownership of their submitted work. By participating, you grant the Programme a non-exclusive licence to use names, abstracts, photographs, summaries and excerpts for evaluation, publicity, ceremony materials and national awareness activities, subject to embargo periods communicated by the Secretariat.
Programme branding, logos, official publications and website content are protected and may not be used without written consent.
6. Decisions and programme changes
Decisions of the Nigeria Tertiary Institution National Laureate Committee regarding eligibility, evaluation and awards are final, subject only to published appeals or review procedures. The Secretariat may modify deadlines, categories, guidelines or digital services where operational or policy requirements necessitate change.
7. Disclaimers
Information on this website is provided in good faith for general guidance. While we endeavour to keep content accurate and current, the Secretariat does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Official announcements supersede informal summaries on third-party platforms.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Programme, its partners and affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of this website or reliance on published materials, except where liability cannot be excluded under Nigerian law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria, without prejudice to applicable administrative remedies.
